Nissan Sales Report: April 2014
Nissan Group of India, which includes the Nissan and Datsun brands, has shown strong performance in sluggish market conditions. The group has registered a healthy year-on-year sales indicated by a growth of 328 percent during the month of April 2014.
The company sold 5,301 vehicles during last month. In comparison, the Nissan had only sold 1,239 units in April 2013. It should, however, be noted that last year Nissan did not have the added strength of its Datsun budget brand.

The recently launched Datsun GO alone accounted for roughly half of the Group's entire sales, with 2,691 units sold.
At the end of the last financial year Nissan also emerged as the second largest exporter of vehicles from India, pushing back Maruti Suzuki to third place.
Some of the upcoming launches scheduled are the Datsun GO+ compact MPV, Nissan Sunny facelift and an extensively redesigned Evalia MPV.
Mr. Kenichiro Yomura - President, Nissan Group of India said, "We are witnessing an encouraging growth in our sales. We ended FY-13 on a high and have begun the new financial year with a healthy 328% year-on-year growth for the month of April. Our focus is to continue this trend going forward."
