Mercedes-Benz To Inaugurate Second Facility In India
German luxury car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz is soon to inaugurate its second facility in India. The new facility will help the German manufacturer to produce more vehicles per year. Mercedes wants to double its production as it wants to be future ready in India.
Mercedes currently manufactures its luxury vehicles at Chakan, Pune. The German automobile manufacturer can currently deliver 10,000 vehicles per year. They began assembling and manufacturing vehicles in India in 2009.

The German manufacturer had announced that it was planning to increase its production and believe they will record double digit growth this year. They did not indulge us with numbers or goals in particular, as it is against their policies.

Mercedes-Benz recently launched its limited edition model A-Class and B-Class dubbed the 'Edition 1'. They will produce only 100 models each of the luxurious vehicles and will provide owners exclusivity.

Present at the launch event of 'Edition 1' was Boris Fitz, Vice President, Sales and Network Development, Mercedes-Benz India explained, "This calendar year, we are expecting to grow in double digit. We are increasing our production to be future ready in India."
Mercedes has termed this year as the 'Year Of Excellence' and several models will be launched in India. They have currently launched eight vehicles in India and had promised ten new models. Now only two models remain and Mercedes has not revealed when they will launch them.
