Maruti Suzuki To Launch Six New Products In Coming Months

By Ajinkya

Maruti Suzuki was present at the 2014 Auto Expo, which was held in New Delhi. The Japanese automobile giant showcased its current line up of vehicles along with future products. Currently the small cars are the preferred vehicles of Indian customers.

The economic slowdown has also affected Maruti Suzuki. Its Celerio hatchback has been doing well, however, the other products have witnessed a steep fall in demand. While the Celerio wasn't really exciting or anything, Maruti gave it a special USP - the automatic version.

Currently the premium vehicles by the manufacturer are not being accepted by the Indian buyers. The Kizashi that Maruti Suzuki had introduced in India did not sell in high numbers, though it was an excellent product. Somehow the Indian customer does not see Suzuki as a premium car seller.

Maruti Suzuki has achieved a phenomenal feat by selling 25 lakh units of the ever-loved Maruti 800. Its Alto 800 has also achieved the 25 lakh mark since it was launched. Both these cars fall in the affordable segment and are built keeping in mind first time four-wheeler buyers.

The Japanese manufacturer is aiming to launch six new products in India. The S-Cross and Ciaz are surely coming to India in the near future. Along with them there will be an introduction of a bigger and more premium hatchback and a compact SUV, which will be based on the Suzuki XA Alpha platform.

The path for Maruti Suzuki is exciting ahead and we believe it will rekindle the passion of customers. The Japanese manufacturer is the most trusted four wheeler manufacturer in India, so Suzuki would like to get to the top rung of the ladder and remain there for as long as possible.
