Maruti Suzuki Increase Production Of Celerio
The Celerio by Maruti Suzuki has been an instant hit with the Indian buyers. Many buyers who have paid the booking amount for the vehicle have been made to wait due to the high demand of the vehicle. On the other hand, the production of the vehicle isn't high enough to cope with the current demand.
Since its launch, Maruti Suzuki claim there have been over 58,000 booking in three months. So far the Japanese manufacturer has been able to provide only 28,000 Celerios to buyers, while 30,000 are still waiting eagerly to get their cars.

The Celerio's great demand is due to the affordable automatic transmission Maruti Suzuki offer. Most of the bookings are for Celerio's AMT trim. If you plan to book your vehicle today you would have to wait for roughly six to eight months before you can drive your car.

In an attempt to cope with the demand of Celerio, Maruti Suzuki has decided to increase production of the vehicle to 7,000 vehicles per month. The Japanese manufacturer earlier churned out 6,000 Celerios per month. They expect the waiting period to come down reasonably with the increased production of the hatchback.

To divert the attention away from the AMT version Maruti Suzuki plans to offer the Celerio in a diesel option. The Japanese have already launched a CNG variant of the Celerio. They expect buyers could change their opinion and opt for either a diesel or a CNG option. We expect the diesel powertrain to be a small capacity engine to keep the costs in check.
Maruti Suzuki have decided for the future they will be launching only a single vehicle a year. They will, however, launch special and limited editions in between. We expect the Japanese manufacturer to launch a facelifted Swift in the coming months, while a special edition Dzire is on its way too.
