Maruti Suzuki Could Launch Better Performing Wagon R
The Wagon R by Maruti Suzuki has been a popular choice of many Indian buyers. The hatchback was introduced to India in 1999 and has received facelift and updates at regular intervals. The competition, however, has got better and Wagon R has taken a beaten in terms of sales.
In an attempt to bring back customers to its Wagon R hatchback, the Japanese manufacture is being believed working on a better performing vehicle. When they say performing, it does not mean higher speed or a bigger engine. The engineers at Suzuki will be improving the fuel efficiency and reliability of the engine.

The new and improved version of Wagon R will use the same engine it currently is powered by, however, it will be tuned and tweaked to be more efficient. They could also give the hatchback a minor facelift to make it more appealing to buyers.

Maruti Suzuki could redesign the headlamps, foglamps, front grille and taillights of the hatchback. The Japanese could provide LED lights in the rear section of its hatchback. We believe the Wagon R could borrow a few design cues from its sibling the Stingray.

Maruti Suzuki have not revealed other specific details and would be provided sometime closer to launch. We believe the Japanese manufacturer could revamp the interiors of the Wagon R too. The facelifted hatchback is expected to launch in early 2015. Pricing and other details will be revealed at a later date.
