Mahindra Formula E Outfit Complete First Official Shakedown
Formula E is the forward step for a sustainable racing future. Mahindra an Indian automobile manufacturer will be participating in the world's first and only full electric race called Formula E. The Indian outfit took their vehicles for its first spin on a water soaked Donington Park circuit.
At the helm of Mahindra's Formula E car were former Formula One drivers India's Karun Chandhok and Brazil's Bruno Senna. The Indian outfit is the first among ten other teams to run their car for the first time. During their maiden stint both drivers checked several systems onboard their Formula E car.

Mahindra had held an online competition where an individual will have the opportunity to name the Indian Formula E car. The team has been named ' Mahindra Nitro' by a Mahindra enthusiast. Both Chandhok and Senna's main goal was to test their seat fitting and pedal positions that best suit them.

The Indian team had only one car, thus both drivers had to share the vehicle. All teams will get only one car for a shakedown prior to official testings which will begin on third to fourth of July, 2014. There are nine teams yet to complete their official shakedown.

Brazilian Bruno Senna hit the track first in wet conditions. The Mahindra Nitro was in its race livery Black, White and Red. There were a few technical glitches which, were rectified soon. The team was later able to check battery discharge and its recharging system too.
Karun Chandhok took over the car later in the afternoon and was able to put in a decent amount of laps. Mahindra Nitro has decent knowledge now before they head out for a full fledged testing which, will be held on third and fourth of July, 2014.
