Limited-edition Appeal For The McLaren 650S MSO
The Goodwood Festival of Speed 2014 sees yet another exciting reveal this weekend, that of the limited-edition McLaren 650S by MSO (McLaren Special Operations). Production of the new car will be restricted to 50 units, in either coupe or spider forms.
Prices of the new McLaren start at a whopping £252,500 (around INR 2.6 crore) which is a premium of £57,250 over the standard 650S model. For the extra money, you get special exterior trimmings like satin-finish carbon-fibre side blades, a three-piece rear bumper and a larger diffuser.

Also new for the car are lightweight 10-spoke alloy wheels that are 4 kg lighter than the standard 650S alloys and feature titanium wheel bolts, if you please. Buyers will be able to choose between three paint finishes too: Papaya Spark, Agrigan Black and Sarigan Quartz.

The interiors receive an upgrade too, with carbon-fibre detailing and extensive use of Alcantara leather and a dedication plaque. A nice touch is that all customers will also receive a Frank Stephenson sketch (the designer of the 650S) and a leather ‘holdall'.

There are however, no mechanical tweaks to the car, and the 650S MSO will retain the same 3.8-litre, twin-turbo V8 engine and the seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Deliveries of the spider and coupe 650S MSOs will begin by the end of the year to customers wanting that extra bit of pizzaz in their McLaren rides.
