McLaren P1 GTR With Price Tag Of $3.36 Million Confirmed
McLaren has officially announced that it will launch a hardcore, track focused version of the P1 hybrid supercar. The car will be called the McLaren P1 GTR and will cost a staggering £1.98 million (~ $3.36 million or ~ INR 20 crore).
The last time McLaren used the ‘GTR' badge was on the McLaren F1 GTR race car in the 1990s. The McLaren F1 GTR is famous for winning the 1995 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance race. However, unlike F1 GTR, the P1 GTR will not be a race car, but just a non-road legal track toy.
McLaren P1 GTR will be unveiled in 2015, 20 years since the F1 GTR's Le Mans win.

However, production of the P1 GTR will only be started the last of the 375 road legal P1 rolls out of the production facility. Only a handful of P1 GTRs will be produced and only those who already own a P1 will be offered to buy one.
While the regular P1 develops 903 horsepower, the P1 GTR have a number much closer to 1000 HP. The car will also have a permanent rear spoiler, larger front splitter and side skirts, slick tyres and very low ride height.
McLaren P1 GTR is Ferrari's answer to the LaFerrari XX. In fact, P1 GTR customers will also gain access to an exclusive drivers program which will include privileges such access to one of the McLaren racing simulators, driver training from experts, driver fitness programme, consultations with McLaren design chief Frank Stephenson and last but not the least, access to participate in dedicated track days which will be held across the world in F1 tracks.
