Lamborghini Egoista To Be A Museum Piece For Public Display
Lamborghini Egoista came into being when the Sant'Agata Bolognese-based supercar maker decided it needed to celebrate its 50th anniversary in style.
Unveiled last year, the Egoista is perhaps the most insane looking Raging Bull ever built. And when you hear that name, which means "selfish" in English, you know that's true.
So called because of it being a single-seater, the Egoista was designed by Walter De Silva, head of Volkswagen Group Design. The car is the true interpretation of a fighter jet on wheels.
Its Apache attack helicopter inspiration goes beyond the design to a level where the carbon fiber and aluminium body is painted in military spec radio wave absorbing paint, that would make it ‘invisible' to radar.

You even have to climb into the car just like you would into a fighter aircraft and it even has a survival cell made of carbon fiber and aluminum and cockpit that's covered by a canopy with an orange hue.
The engine powering this beast is a tuned version of the Gallardo Mk1's 5.2-liter V10 that outputs 600 horsepower.
After its launch last year, the Egoista was on a world tour, where it was usually put on display during special events. Now, this one-off future classic, has returned home to Bologna where it will first be displayed in Lamborghini's headquarters showroom and take its permanent place at the company's museum, along with the other icons for the public to see.
