BMW Beats Audi In Global Sales
The Three German Luxury car makers are fighting fiercely for the top honour in India as well as in the global scenario. Mercedes-Benz, Audi and BMW are the leading luxury car manufacturers in India as well as internationally.
BMW though has managed to beat the other two and has secured the number one spot globally. Coming close to the Bavarian based company is Audi. Mercedes-Benz was long and far in third place. BMW has managed to maintain its lead from the beginning of 2014.
BMW managed to sell roughly 1000 more units than Audi in the month of May, 2014. Their top sellers have been the X5 among its SUV range and the 5-series among its sedan segment. Audi though is catching up with its rival at a steady pace.

Audi launched in A3 sedan in April, 2014 and has witnessed positive demand for it. Its SUV the Q3 also has a significant presence in its segment. Both these products by Audi have played a significant role in boosting the manufacturers sales.
The Bavarian based BMW though has been achieving an all time high in terms of sales in 2014. The have recently commenced the deliveries of its i8 hybrid sports car. It will be launched in India later this year and will surely impress people with its innovation and futuristic appeal.
Mercedes-Benz has also been achieving great numbers although it isn't as high as BMW. The three-pointed star witnessed an increase in demand for its C-class sedan and the GLA, which is a compact SUV and will be launched in India soon.
