All-New Punto Evo Launched In Bangalore
The Fiat Group Automobiles India Private India Limited (FGAIPL) has finally launched the much awaited Punto Evo today in Bangalore. The all new premium hatchback's styling is designed exclusively for India.
Starting at a price of INR 4,65,415 (ex-showroom Bangalore), the new Punto sports turn indicators built into the OVRMs and has rear AC vents which are the first of its kind in its class.
The ground clearance is now higher at 195mm, which was improved keeping Indian road conditions in mind. The car also features 16-inch wheels. Fiat claim that inspite of the increased height, the handling is still as sharp as the older version.
The hatchback is loaded with features like airbags for the driver, ABS, EBD, two tone dash, Follow Me Home headlamps, smart wipers and offers a 3 year warranty with service intervals of 15,000 kms.
Fiat offers their new Evo in seven different variants, three petrol and four diesel options. All seven variants are mated to a five-speed manual gearbox.

The first is a 1.2-litre petrol engine that produces 68 PS at 6000 rpm and 96 Nm torque that peaks at 2500 rpm.
The second petrol option is a 1.4-litre engine that produces 90 PS at 6000 rpm. This engine transfers a torque of 115 Nm at 4500 rpm.
The diesel variants come with two engine options, the first is a 1.3-litre multijet engine that produces 76 PS at 4000 rpm and maximum torque of 197 Nm at 1750 rpm.
The second diesel engine and the top end variant is the 1.3- litre multijet engine again, but it makes 93 PS at 4000 rpm and a torque output of 209 Nm at 2000 rpm.
