50 Random Acts By Rolls Royce Owner For Charity
Owner of a Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupe Garreth Wood, who is a founder of the Edinburgh-based Speratus Group, along with his wife and a school friend William Rhind will be participating in the Gumball 3000 Rally. They will be driving 3,000 miles, which will help them in raising money for their charity.
The Gumball 3000 Rally is a spectacular event which, witnesses the world's most exotic, luxurious and decorated cars. The goal is to cover an enormous amount of miles in a matter of seven days.
The Wood's couple will be raising money for the ‘When You Wish Upon a Star' foundation. The foundation has granted the wishes of over 14,500 children suffering from life threatening illnesses. The charity was founded in 1990 and has been proactive since then.

Along their way the trio will be performing 50 Random Acts of Kindness with Garreth's company. His company has promised to donate 2,000 pounds for every act of kindness they perform. The Gumball foundation will then equal the amount and donate the same collected. They can earn 2,00,000 pounds and the money will be used for a trip to Lapland to meet Father Christmas.
Garreth Wood, owner of the ‘Velvet Phantom' explains, "It's a great honour to support ‘When you wish upon a Star'. This trip to Lapland promises to create magical memories for children and families dealing with life threatening illnesses. This journey presents an incredible opportunity to raise vital funds for such a worthy cause."
He further added, "It's also important to raise awareness; this is why we chose a temporary wrap for the car that is sure to wow the crowds wherever we go! We are incredibly grateful to the Gumball Foundation for agreeing to match our donation allowing us to double the number of children we can take to Lapland at the end of the year."
The Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupe will be covered in red chrome and black velvet finish, along with a Scottish flag on its boot. The Wood couple have appointed a specialist wrapping company to decorate their car.
