Tata Indica Vista D90 Discontinued?
Tata Motors has reportedly discontinued production of its premium hatchback model, the Vista D90. Launched about a year back in 2012, the D90 was marketed as a sporty version of the regular Indica Vista diesel hatch.

According to a report that's appeared on CarToq, Tata Motors dealerships across the country are now emptying their stock to make way for the Vista D90 replacement that will make its debut at the India Auto Show in Feb 2014 and will appear in showrooms soon after.

As we have reported earlier, Tata Motors is working on two new vehicles, codenamed the Falcon. The Falcon 4 is the intended successor to the Vista D90. Falcon 5, meanwhile, will replace the Manza. More details about Falcon 5 can be read from the link provided above.
The Vista D90 replacement has been designed at Tata Motor's European Design Center and will take design cues from the Manza Hybrid that was showcased at the 2012 India Auto Expo. Overall, though, the hatchback will still retain the Vista design. Besides the revised front fascia, the D90 replacement will also have a redesigned rear light cluster. However, despite essentially being a facelifted Vista, Falcon 4 will not bear the ‘Vista' name plate.
Vista D90 is powered by a retuned version of the 1.3 liter Fiat MultiJet engine that generates 90 HP & 200 Nm of torque, making it the most powerful hatchback coming from Tata Motors. It's successor, the Falcon 4, will continue to be sold as a ‘performance' vehicle. This time over, along with a sporty engine, Tata is also said to be concentrating on providing a sporty driving experience, something that's missing in the D90.
