Nissan Micra Active Starts At Rs 3.50L: Details

Along with the launch of the 2013 Micra, Nissan took everyone by surprise by launching a new low cost model of the Micra, named Micra Active. The new Micra Active is set apart from the new ‘regular' Micra by its differently designed face, which is reminiscent of the outgoing Micra, but with a modern touch.

Micra Active is being marketed as a budget car for the first time buyer, who would prefer to buy a Nissan branded vehicle. The Active offers value for money to the buyer. But at the same time, it will allow Nissan to tap into the highly lucrative budget car segment. Here is what you need to know about the Micra Active. Engine & Transmission

The Micra Active uses the same 1.2-litre petrol engine that powers the regular Micra petrol trim. It develops 68 PS at 5000 rpm and 104 Nm at 4000 rpm. The five speed manual is the only transmission option available here.

Mileage

The Micra Active weighs 30 kg less than the base variant of the outgoing Micra. This significant weight reduction improves the mileage. The 1.2L petrol delivers 19.49 kmpl. Whereas the same engine in the regular Micra delivers 18.44 kmpl.

The New Face

The ‘V' chrome trim on the grille and the chrome stripe on the lower air dam are missing. The front grill shape has been carried over from the outgoing Micra. The lower bumper, however, is similarly shaped to the new Micra. The fog lamps are missing and in its place are stylish new air intakes.

Active Budget Features

The Active also comes with only plastic caps for the wheels. Premium features such as body coloured side mirrors and door handles don't appear on the Active.
On the inside, the front seats have fixed headrests.

Turquoise Blue (new), Blade Silver, Storm White, Onyx Black, Aqua Green and Brick Red.

Micra Active XV Safety

The top trim, Active XV Safety offers a range of safety features which include: Dual airbags, ABS, EBD, BA, immobilizer, speed sensing door locks and central locking.
