New Honda VTEC Turbo Engine Lineup Announced
Honda has announced all new of VTEC turbo petrol engines as part of its Earth Dreams technology range that will power its four wheeler lineup in the near future, across markets.
The range consists of three turbo petrol engines, all of which feature direct fuel injection and variable valve motion technology. Honda claims the new VTEC turbo engines will achieve "class-leading output and environmental performance, while downsizing engine displacement."

The engines include a 1.0 liter three cylinder unit, a 1.5 liter four cylinder unit and a 2.0 liter four cylinder unit.

Honda has withheld most of the specifics about the engines for now, only letting us know that the next gen Civic Type R will use the 2.0 liter direct injection, 4-cylinder turbo engine, that's rated at 280 PS power and is EURO 6 compliant.

The all new Honda VTEC turbo engines will go on to power a number of future global models, "depending on local market requirements and vehicle characteristics." Expect all next generation Honda vehicles in India ranging from the Brio hatchback to Accord to be powered by the new engines.
