Mini has not released any technical details about the upcoming Mini John Cooper Works, saving all such details for its debut at the auto show. Instead, the automaker tells us plenty about the design aspect. The same can be found in the slider below, along with several images.

Mini John Cooper Works Concept will be launched at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) 2014, also called the Detroit Motor Show.

While Mini calls the new JCW a concept, the production version of the car you see in these images will not look very different.

The new Mini JCW has gets a shiny coat of grey paint, which Mini calls Bright Highway grey. To highlight the sportiness of the model the grey is accented with bright red paint (Chilly Red).

Besides the exclusive paint job and racing stripes, the new Mini JCW also gets a full aerodynamic package, along with new 18 inch lightweight JCW alloy wheels.

Large air intakes in place of fog lamps and bonnet mounted air intake slot suggest a powerful engine, likely a twin turbocharged unit. Expect the engine to easily deliver over 200 HP of power.

The aerodynamic kit we spoke about consists of a large bumper, contoured side skirts and a rear apron with flaps and a diffuser element.

Furthermore, there's a roof mounted spoiler and other body components which channel air efficiently around the C-pillar to improve the car's aerodynamic balance at high speeds.

The Mini JCW Concept also comes with LED headlights, a black surround for the front grille and red mirror caps.

Lastly, the new MINI John Cooper Works Concept comes fitted with sports exhaust system that includes chrome tipped JCW twin silencer system that wears the JCW logo.

Mini says, the sporty character of the new Mini JCW Concept will not just be limited to visual upgrades, but will extend to "an unmistakable engine soundtrack" that will take center stage.
