Hennessey McLaren MP4-12C HPE700 Performance 'Pack's 704 HP
Hennessey Performance Motors, the American tuners who have made a good habit of helping able supercars reach their full potential have tried their hands on a variety of vehicles. Not only supercars, but even off-roaders such as Jeeps.
About a month back the team at Hennessey came out with the performance package HPE700 for the Ferrari 458 Italia, extracting 738 HP out of the nimble supercar. The obvious thing to do next was to try out that kit on Ferrari 458's McLaren counterpart, the MP4-12C. Here is a quick run down.

Equipped with the HPE700 package, the MP4-12C's 3.8 liter V8 twin turbocharged engine outputs 704 HP and 538 lb-ft of torque. That's an additional 88 horses.

0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) is reached in 2.8 seconds (the same as the HPE700 Ferrari 458 Italia) and a 400 meters sprint is completed in 10.3 seconds at 220 km/h.

A major part of the power boost comes from the new engine management software upgrade, which raises the turbo boost and also increases amount of fuel and air that goes into the engine at any given time during the combustion cycle.

Additionally, the package consists of such things as a new intercooler, new air filters, a new stainless exhaust system for quicker exhaust flow.

In the visual department, in typical Hennessey style things have been kept low key. Each car will have a serial numbered dash and engine plaque and HPE700 and Hennessey badges on the outside

After you get the upgrade done to your McLaren MP4-12C you get an additional 1 Year / 12,000 Mile Limited Warranty. Price has not been announced.
