Audi Sports Crossover Concept For Detroit Auto Show Revealed
Audi has released sketches of the "Show Car" for the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit that will be held in January 2014. Audi has not named the concept yet, but only says it will be a crossover.

The latest sketches from Audi follows an earlier sketch of the Q1 concept. However, these new sketches are of a different model. Mostly likely that of a non-production concept that's only meant to showcase Audi's new design language.
Audi has released very few details about its show car. What we know for now is that it will be a two door crossover model, with high ground clearance, with a distinctly sporting slant. Audi calls it a car that's meant for both road and track use, "for everyday driving and recreational use."
The show car will measure 4.20 meters long and sport 19 inch wheels, "which emphasises the impression of concentrated energy". The concept will showcase Audi's future design language which has elements of Audi-typical allroad concept and independent shooting brake body style. The next-gen Audi Q7 is expected to come wearing the design showcased by the concept car.
In Audi's own words, "The show car is a compelling blend of form and function." "The aluminium underbody guards at front and rear emphasize the width and protect the car off road."
"Design elements that are typical of e-tron models, such as the ribs in the Singleframe grille and in the side air inlets, fit in harmoniously with the overall design concept. The dual headlights and the honeycomb-structured Singleframe grille indicate the further development of the quattro design language which Audi already presented with its Sport quattro concept."
