The Nissan Sunny Diesel Dazzles On The Road

Although the reduced power is not that noticeable at lower gears, it becomes apparent when you up the speed. The acceleration is not as quick but it is assured. The only problem that we found while driving the Sunny diesel was that the gear shifts were a little harder. This is not something that you will get in the petrol variant. However for some one who is used to driving diesel cars, the gear shifts can be normal.
But the most noticeable aspect of the Sunny diesel is its fuel economy. While the petrol variant's official mileage figure is just under 17kmpl, the Sunny diesel mileage is an impressive 21.64kmpl. The mileage can easily be about 20kmpl in real word conditions.
We test drove the Sunny Diesel's top end XV variant which comes with steering mounted audio controls, top quality interior materials, custom made carpets, etc. As we said earlier about the Sunny's petrol variant, the diesel is also a highway muncher. It can comfortable cruise at 80kmph without any fuss and gobble up miles on the highway.
The Sunny diesel is an ideal car for someone who travels a lot and wishes to do that in comfort and space. The p-rice if the Sunny is also quite attractive considering the long list of features it has. No wonder it has been voted as the best entry level segment sedan of the year.
