Cars at Auto Expo 2024

The Auto Expo 2024 is a biennial event, held in Greater Noida and is the largest gathering of automotive brands in the country. The Auto Expo gives all automotive brands the opportunity to unveil their upcoming products, launch new vehicles and showcase some extremely unique concepts as well.

Here are all the new cars showcased at the Auto Expo 2024. This includes new car launches, upcoming car models, electric cars and concepts of future cars for the Indian market at the Auto Expo 2024. The cars showcased at the Auto Expo 2024 spans across all segments, be it SUVs, sedans, entry-level hatchbacks or luxury sports cars.

  • 1 .Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza

    Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza
    Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza has undergone a facelift from the brand and was unveiled at the 2020 Auto Expo. The new Vitara Brezza looks sportier and is more powerful than the outgoing model. It gets a new 1.5-litre BS6 petrol engine that puts out 104bhp and 138Nm of peak torque. Transmission options include a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic torque converter unit. Bookings to the facelift Vitara Brezza will start soon with launch expected in the coming months.

    Maruti Suzuki Futuro-E Concept
    Maruti Suzuki Futuro-e concept was showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo. The Futuro-e concept will spawn many electric models in the future for the brand, with the first model expected by 2021. The concept features a coupe-like design with modern looks. While the Interiors are of the concept car features minimalist design with a couple of screens to control the infotainment and instrument cluster.

    Maruti Suzuki Jimny
    Maruti Suzuki Jimny was the most highly anticipated vehicle from the brand at the 2020 Auto Expo. Maruti Suzuki has showcased the global-spec 3-door Jimny. However, there were no reports of launching the SUV In India. Maruti Suzuki confirmed that they will be studying the market demand and then make a decision if Jimny will come to India. The compact rugged-SUV will feature the same 1.5-litre petrol engine and transmission options as the 2020 Vitara Brezza.

    Maruti Suzuki Swift Hybrid
    Maruti Suzuki Swift Hybrid has been showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo. This could mark the brand’s entry with a hybrid powertrain for the hatchback segment in the Indian market. The Swift Hybrid is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine coupled to an electric motor and a battery pack. While the 1.2-litre petrol engine in the Swift hybrid makes 90bhp and 118Nm of torque. The Swift hybrid also features paddle shifters paired to a 5-speed AMT transmission.

    Tata Gravitas
    Tata Gravitas is the seven-seater version of the Harrier SUV from the brand. The Gravitas was unveiled at the 2020 Auto Expo by Tata Motors. The SUV carries forward most of the design elements including the updated 173bhp 2.0-litre BS6 engine and an automatic transmission. The SUV however, has been tweaked at the rear with an extended window line and a redesigned tail-lamps as well. The seven-seater SUV is expected to launch in India by early next year.

    Tata Sierra EV Concept was showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo. Tata has brought back the ‘Sierra’ nameplate back on the electric SUV. The Sierra EV features Tata’s ‘Impact 2.0’ design and is based on the company’s ALFA architecture. The company has no plans of putting the concept to production.

    Tata HBX Concept
    Tata HBX Concept is a mini-SUV from the brand. An off-road-ready variant of the mini-SUV was showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo. Tata HBX is a near-production ready concept and the final product would be very close to the one showcased at the Auto Expo. The HBX mini-SUV is based on the Tata’s ALFA architecture and borrows its design cues from other SUVs in the brand’s portfolio.

    Tata Hexa Safari Edition
    Tata Hexa Safari Edition was showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo. The new variant of the MPV features a host of cosmetic changes, both inside and out. The Safari Edition will also come equipped with a four-wheel-drive system paired to a six-speed manual gearbox only. Hexa Safari Edition will continue to be powered by the 2.2-litre Varicor engine which will be made BS6 compliant after the new variant is launched.

    Hyundai Tucson 2020 has undergone slight changes on the inside and out. Hyundai aims to help the SUV stand out in one of the most competitive segments in the country. The changes on the new facelift Tucson includes redesigned front grille, sleeker headlights with integrated LED DRLs, new bumpers up front and rear, revised fog lamp housing, twin exhaust tips, panoramic sunroof and restyled LED tail-lamps.     Hyundai Creta 2020
    The all-new 2020 Hyundai Creta has been unveiled at the AutoExpo. The all-new Creta features a host of changes. This includes a new front fascia, redesigned LED headlamps and DRLs, new tail-lamp design and most of all a host of new powertrain options. The new Hyundai Creta will receive the same BS6 engine and transmission options as seen on the Kia Seltos SUV. The 2020 Hyundai Creta is expected to go on sale in the coming months, with bookings for the SUV starting soon.

    Kia Seltos X-Line
    Kia Seltos X-Line is a concept version of the SUV based on the top-spec GTX with 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine and a seven-speed DCT. The new concept Seltos X-Line features a more rugged look and comes equipped with a host of cosmetic changes. This includes a new paint scheme with orange inserts placed across the SUV and a blacked-out roof as well.     Kia Sonet is a compact SUV from the brand which will rival the likes of Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon; among others.     Mahindra eXUV300 was unveiled at the 2020 Auto Expo. It was one among the many electric vehicles that were showcased by the brand. The compact electric SUV looked production-ready and looked similar to its IC engine counterpart. The Mahindra eKUV100 is powered by a 40kW electric motor producing 53bhp and 120Nm of peak torque.     Mahindra Funster is a concept vehicle from the brand. As the name hits the concept vehicle features a radical design with frameless windshield, butterfly opening doors and dual-tone alloy wheel design. Although the Funster hints towards the upcoming XUV500 design, Mahindra says the concept vehicle is just a design study. The concept car comes equipped with four electric motors on each wheel. This enables the Funster to accelerate from 0 -100km/h in 5 seconds.

    MG Hector Plus is a six-seater version of the standard SUV launched last year. The Hector plus is 40mm longer than the standard model to accommodate third-row seating, however, there are no changes to the wheelbase.     MG Gloster is a full-size SUV by the brand to rival the likes of Ford Endeavour and Toyota Fortuner. The Gloster is sold globally as the Maxus D90 from MG’s parent company SAIC.
