Hero MotoCorp To Launch 125cc Scooter In India; To Rival Yamaha Fascino

Hero MotoCorp dominates the commuter motorcycle segment in India, but when it comes to the scooter, the company is playing catch up game with Honda, TVS and Suzuki. Now, the company wants to cement its position in the scooter segment with the launch of a new model.

The new 125cc scooter from Hero MotoCorp is likely to feature a retro-style design theme which is popular in the country. The upcoming scooter will be targeted towards young urban buyers. Currently, the company retails Maestro Edge, Duet and Pleasure scooters in India.

Hero MotoCorp is yet to reveal the technical details of the new 125cc scooter. We expect the scooter to be priced aggressively and will be an affordable alternative to the Vespa. Hero will also try to challenge the Honda Activa which is the current segment leader in the country.

The new scooter from Hero MotoCorp will be a unisex model and will be loaded with features to attract young buyers. The new model is said to be a game-changing product for the Delhi-based company as it is struggling to make a mark in the scooter segment.
