Royal Enfield 650 Twins Showcased In India
Royal Enfield Interceptor & Continental GT 650 Twins showcased in India.
Royal Enfield's new motorcycles, the Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650, were showcased in India for the first time.
The iconic bike manufacturer used 2017 Rider Mania event, one of the biggest biker festival in India, to showcase it's newest creations.

Both the motorcycles, unveiled at the event, features chrome colour scheme, reminiscent of a retro-classic era motorcycles that RE has become known to its ardent fans.

Royal Enfield CEO Sid Lal unveiled the two bikes at this year's Rider Mania and said that the bikes had been developed keeping the requirements of quality as well as emission norms around the world.

He also said that the bikes would be accessible in terms of pricing along with affordable ownership cost, which is at the company's core idea to offer affordable mid-sized engine motorcycles.

The Royal Enfield twins are powered by the newly unveiled 650cc parallel, air/ oil cooled engine which produces 46.3bhp and a healthy 52Nm of torque. The unit comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
As for the launch of the twins, the bikes will be launched in the European markets initially and will then launched in India.

The Royal Enfield twins look promising, and the overall package gives us a peek into the future of the company. While Royal Enfield has assured the quality and the availability of spares; however, on the ground level, RE has to do a lot more.
