Refreshed Kia Picanto In The UK: Pricing Starts At £15,595
Kia has recently unveiled the UK pricing and specifications for its refreshed Kia Picanto model, setting the starting price at £15,595. This announcement marks the immediate availability of the new Picanto for orders, with deliveries slated to commence in July. The Picanto has established itself as one of the most cost-effective vehicles in the UK market, drawing in customers with its superior quality, spacious interior, and commendable on-road performance. Notably, in 2020, the Picanto represented 13% of Kia's total sales in the UK.
The latest iteration of the Picanto boasts a newly designed exterior alongside an array of advanced technological enhancements and engine improvements. Prospective buyers will have the option between two petrol engines: a three-cylinder 1.0-litre and a four-cylinder 1.2-litre engine. Both engines are engineered for efficiency and performance, offering reduced CO2 emissions. A five-speed manual transmission is standard across both engines, with an optional five-speed automated manual transmission also available.
Among its standard features, the new Picanto includes automatic headlight control, integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a rear parking camera system. Safety has also been a focal point in its design, incorporating forward collision avoidance assist and lane keep assist among its safety features. The model is available in four variants: '2’, 'GT-Line’, '3’, and 'GT-Line S’, with prices ranging from £15,595 to £18,445.
Kia is enhancing the appeal of the new Picanto with enticing customer offers, such as a 7.9% APR and a £1,000 finance deposit contribution. This strategic pricing and the comprehensive suite of features are expected to maintain the Picanto’s popularity among UK drivers seeking affordability without compromising on quality or performance.
