Lamborghini Debuts Redesigned Long Island Showroom With First Plug-In Hybrid Super SUV
In a significant development within the automotive industry, Automobili Lamborghini marked a milestone with the opening of its redesigned showroom in Long Island, New York, on April 30. This event not only celebrated Lamborghini's unparalleled sales achievements in 2023 but also introduced the Urus SE to the U.S. market. The Urus SE stands out as Lamborghini's first plug-in hybrid SUV and the most potent version of the company's all-time best-seller.
The grand opening attracted Lamborghini customers, local VIPs, and business leaders, alongside notable brand executives such as Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and CEO; Federico Foschini, Chief Marketing and Sales Officer; and Andrea Baldi, CEO of Lamborghini America. Winkelmann highlighted 2023 as a year of exceptional growth, with over 10,000 cars delivered worldwide. He emphasized the importance of investing in customer and partner experiences to support the increasing demand for Lamborghini vehicles.
The Long Island showroom, located at 115 S Service Rd, Jericho, NY, spans 5,575 square feet and is a testament to Italian automotive excellence. It offers an immersive brand experience featuring the latest super sports cars and Super SUVs. The showroom also includes a Collezione and Accessori Originali fashion section and an Ad Personam customization room for bespoke vehicle personalization.
Lamborghini's global deliveries in 2023 reached 10,112 cars, marking a 10% increase from 2022. The Americas region contributed significantly to this success with 3,465 units sold, up by 9% from the previous year. These achievements underscore Lamborghini's robust position as it advances through the Direzione Cor Tauri investment program towards electrification.
The program's second phase was highlighted by the global launch of Lamborghini's first V12 hybrid plug-in HPEV, the Revuelto, in March 2023. This was followed by the premiere of the Urus SE on April 24, 2024. The Revuelto boasts over 1,000 horsepower with a top speed of 217 mph, thanks to its new 6.5-liter V12 mid-engine combined with three electric motors. Meanwhile, the Urus SE offers an impressive output of 800 CV (789 horsepower) from its twin-turbo 4.0 V8 engine and a 25-kWh lithium-ion battery, achieving a top speed of 194 mph.
As Lamborghini continues to embrace electrification, the debut of its redesigned Long Island showroom and the introduction of innovative models like the Urus SE and Revuelto signify a new era for the iconic brand. These developments not only reflect Lamborghini's commitment to innovation but also its dedication to providing an elevated brand experience for its clientele.
