INEOS Automotive Unveils Grenadier Commercial For UK Professionals
INEOS Automotive has unveiled the Grenadier Commercial, a tailored version of its robust 4x4 vehicle, specifically designed to meet the needs of professionals. This new model stands out as it allows for VAT reclamation and offers lower benefit in kind (BIK) tax rates, making it an attractive option for professional use. The Grenadier Commercial is set to replace the two-seat Utility Wagon in the UK market, featuring a full-length flat floor and a cargo barrier to accommodate a standard Euro pallet efficiently.
The vehicle boasts a substantial braked towing capacity of 3.5 tonnes and provides over 2,000 litres of load space, coupled with 5.5 tonnes of winching power. Its design includes unique VAT exemption features like aluminium panels substituting rear passenger windows and blacked-out glazing on the rear doors. At its core, the Grenadier is built on a robust full box-section ladder frame chassis, equipped with heavy-duty solid beam axles and up to three locking differentials, powered by a BMW 3.0-litre turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine.
Production of this highly anticipated model will occur in Hambach, France, at a facility acquired from Mercedes-Benz in January 2021, with the conversion process being carried out in the UK by engineering specialists EDC Limited. The Grenadier Commercial is priced starting at £51,931 ($72,141), excluding VAT and on-the-road (OTR) costs, with orders set to open on 2 May 2024.
