Notably, Honda's electrified models have performed exceptionally well, with sales of the CR-V hybrid and Accord hybrid models achieving a mix of 46% and 51%, respectively. The all-electric Prologue also made its debut in the market, with initial sales kicking off as the units began arriving at dealers towards the end of April.
Specific models such as the CR-V continued their strong performance, topping 30,000 units for the third consecutive month. The HR-V and Pilot models also saw significant year-over-year growth, with HR-V sales increasing by 45% and Pilot sales maintaining momentum thanks to stable inventory levels and the popularity of the TrailSport model. The Civic model surpassed 20,000 units for the third straight month, marking it as one of the best-performing months of 2024 with over a 35% increase from the previous year.
The Acura brand also reported positive results, with over 10,500 units sold in April, making it the second-best month of 2024 for the brand. The SUV models MDX and RDX remained strong contenders in their segment, with nearly 8,000 units sold; notably, RDX sales were up over 44% from the previous year. The Integra model led its segment among premium gateway competitors, with April sales exceeding 2,400 units. Additionally, Acura introduced its first all-electric model, the 2024 ZDX and ZDX Type S, which began arriving at dealerships.
