German car manufacturer Volkswagen has revealed the Tayron R-Line in India. It will serve as the brand's flagship offering and will be locally assembled in the country. This seven-seater SUV combines premium German engineering with advanced technology. Here are the top highlights of the Volkswagen Tayron R-Line.

Exterior

The Tayron features sporty styling with distinctive R-Line detailing. It comes equipped with IQ.light HD Matrix LED headlamps and taillamps, along with a full-width DRL strip. The Volkswagen logo is illuminated at both the front and rear, enhancing its premium appeal. Additional highlights include 19-inch Coventry diamond-cut alloy wheels, giving the SUV a more muscular and sophisticated presence.

Interiors

Inside, the Tayron offers a premium cabin experience with a 15-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and an 11-speaker Harman Kardon audio system. Other features include three-zone climate control, Varenna leatherette seats and upholstery, ambient lighting with 30 colour options, powered front seats with heating, ventilation, massage and memory functions, and a panoramic sunroof.

Engine

One of the biggest highlights is its powerful TSI engine, derived from Volkswagen's performance lineup. The 2.0-litre TSI EVO petrol engine produces 204 PS of power and 320 Nm of torque and is paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox. This engine also powers some of Volkswagen's global performance-oriented models.

AWD Function

The seven-seater SUV comes with Volkswagen's 4MOTION all-wheel-drive system as standard. This helps improve performance across varied driving conditions. The Tayron also features a driving profile selector with multiple modes, including Eco, Comfort, Sport, Individual, Off-road, and Snow.

Safety

The Tayron R-Line is equipped with an advanced driver assistance system designed to create a safety-focused driving environment. It also features a 360-degree camera system and Park Assist Plus, making parking in tight spaces easier.

Another notable feature is the exit warning system, which alerts occupants if approaching traffic or cyclists are detected when exiting the car. Additional highlights include launch control, auto-hold, an electronic parking brake, nine airbags, and an augmented reality head-up display.
