Volkswagen Taigun Facelift Teased – New Connected LED Design, Illuminated Logo
Volkswagen has released a new teaser of its upcoming Taigun facelift, showcasing the SUV's updated front and rear LED DRLs and lighting setup. The new model will feature a connected lighting design at both ends, giving it a more premium and modern identity.
The German car manufacturer is preparing to launch the Taigun facelift, which will mark the SUV's first major update since its debut. Recently, Skoda introduced the updated Kushaq facelift with refreshed exterior and interior changes.
Volkswagen Taigun Facelift Latest Teaser
The Taigun facelift is expected to receive similar updates as its Skoda sibling. The latest teaser confirms revised exterior styling, including connected LED DRLs with an illuminated Volkswagen logo.
A similar connected lighting setup will also be seen at the rear. Multiple spy shots of the facelifted Taigun had already hinted at these design elements. The teaser also shows blacked-out Taigun lettering, which could indicate a sportier GT variant of the upcoming model.

Some expected features include the addition of an 8-speed torque converter gearbox for the 1.0L TSI engine, all-wheel disc brakes for the 1.5L variant, a panoramic sunroof, rear seat massage function, a new 10.25-inch infotainment system powered by Google, and an updated digital instrument cluster.
The air conditioning system is also expected to be improved, similar to the Kushaq facelift, with a shift from a fixed geometry unit to a variable geometry unit better suited for Indian climate conditions. The AC controls are likely to be touch-based across all variants.

The Kushaq facelift missed several key features such as a 360-degree camera, an upgraded rear-view camera, and a Level 2 ADAS safety suite. It remains to be seen whether the Taigun facelift will introduce these features, which could come as a welcome addition for buyers.
The new Taigun facelift will compete in the mid-size SUV segment against models such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Tata Sierra, Skoda Kushaq, and the Renault Duster. Pricing is expected to start at around ₹11 lakh (ex-showroom).
