Vinfast VF MPV 7 Launch Tomorrow (April 15): What To Expect

Vietnamese automaker Vinfast will officially announce prices of the VF MPV 7 in India on April 15, 2026. The three-row electric MPV becomes the brand's third product in the country, following the VF 6 and VF 7.

The all-new Vinfast VF MPV 7 will rival the likes of the Kia Carens Clavis EV and the BYD eMax 7. We expect Vinfast to price the new VF MPV 7 between Rs 18 lakh and Rs 25 lakh.

Vinfast VF MPV 7: Pre-Bookings Open & No BaaS

Pre-bookings for the VF MPV 7 opened on April 2, 2026, at a token amount of Rs. 21,000. The model will be offered exclusively in the seven-seat configuration at launch. Vinfast has also confirmed plans for a fleet variant dubbed the Limo Green, though that derivative is expected to arrive later in 2026.

Vinfast has ruled out the Battery as a Service (BaaS) scheme for the VF MPV 7. Unlike some rivals that offer a battery subscription route to lower the upfront price, the VF MPV 7 will be available only as an outright purchase. Buyers will own the battery outright from day one.

Vinfast VF MPV 7: Battery, Range, Motor & Dimensions

The VF MPV 7 draws power from a 60.1kWh battery pack paired with a single electric motor driving the front wheels. Output stands at 201bhp and 280Nm of peak torque.

Vinfast claims a range of over 500km on a single charge under standard test conditions, which would make it one of the longer-range EV offerings to hit our streets. When hooked up to an 80kW fast DC charger, the VF MPV 7 can top up its battery pack from 10 to 80% in just 30 minutes.

The Vinfast VF MPV 7 is quite a large vehicle. The VF MPV 7 measures 4,740mm long, 1,872mm wide and 1,734mm tall. The VF MPV 7's wheelbase is 2,840mm long, and it offers 180mm of ground clearance.

Vinfast VF MPV 7: Design & Features

The VF MPV 7, looks like a mix of the firm's current offerings in India, the CF 6 and CF 7, mated to the upright rear section of an MPV. Up front, the VF MPV 7 sports vertically stacked LED headlamps tucked into the bumper rather than the bonnet line, flanking a wide central air intake.

Signature LED DRLs run across the front of the car and connect up at the Vinfast logo at the centre. This is mirrored at the rear by the tail-lamps that sweep across in a wrap-around style, while an upright rear end adds to the boxy, purposeful stance, completed by a roof spoiler up top and faux vents worked into the lower bumper.

Inside, the VF MPV 7 keeps things straightforward with an all-black cabin that leans heavily on a clean, uncluttered layout. Vinfast has added touches of shiny trim around the front AC vents, steering wheel, and centre console to break the monotony, while the speaker grilles get a silver plastic finish, and the armrests are wrapped in leatherette.

The overall interior philosophy is understated and functional, and will feel familiar to anyone who has spent time in the VF 6 or VF 7. That said, the VF MPV 7 takes things a step further in terms of simplicity. Where its stablemates angle part of the dashboard toward the driver, the MPV's fascia sits flat and symmetrical, making the cabin feel more open and less cockpit-like.
