Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella Vs eVitara: Design, Range, Features Compared
Toyota has launched its first-ever electric car in India, the Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella. This electric SUV is built on the same Heartect platform as the Maruti Suzuki eVitara, and there are many similarities. The Ebella becomes the sixth model to emerge from the Toyota-Maruti Suzuki partnership, following the Glanza, Taisor, Rumion, Urban Cruiser Hyryder, and Innova Hycross.
Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella vs Maruti Suzuki eVitara Differences
Exterior Design - Minor Difference
The exterior design looks identical, but Toyota has added some of its signature elements, such as the hammerhead front grille, sleek LED Headlamp, more closed bumpers, and rear taillamp with a connected light bar.

Other elements like the aerodynamic alloy wheels, overall silhouette, blacked-out ORVMs, door-mounted rear door handles, thick plastic cladding on the sides, and wheel arches remain unchanged. The dimensions of both SUVs are nearly identical, with no major differences.

Toyota claims a similar driving range to the eVitara, rated at 543 km. An AWD variant is sold in overseas markets, and it remains to be seen whether Toyota will introduce this version in India.
Interior and Cabin - Similar
Both Maruti Suzuki and Toyota have opted for a black and brown leather upholstery theme. Apart from brand-specific badges, the interiors are largely identical, including the dashboard layout.
