Toyota Hyryder Aero Black Edition Launched At Rs 15.19 Lakh

Japanese carmaker Toyota has launched a limited-run Aero Black Edition styling package for the Hyryder, priced at Rs 31,999. The Toyota Hyryder Aero Black Edition package is offered exclusively on the Midnight Black G(O) and V trims, across both petrol and strong-hybrid powertrains.

With the Aero Black Edition, the G(O) trim rises to Rs 15.19 lakh from its regular Rs 14.87 lakh starting price, while the V trim climbs to Rs 16.74 lakh from Rs 16.42 lakh. Toyota had introduced a similar Aero Edition styling kit for the Hyryder last year.

The Toyota Hyryder Aero Black Edition's blacked-out treatment covers the front grille's upper garnish, the headlamp surrounds and the tailgate garnish, along with a new front and rear spoiler. A silver-finished strip on the lower bumper is also swapped for black, and an Aero Black limited-edition badge sets the package apart from the rest of the range.

Toyota is offering the Hyryder Aero Black Edition for a limited period, subject to stock availability. Dealers can additionally fit an optional All Black Package at extra cost for buyers after a fuller blacked-out look.

Speaking on the occasion, Sabari Manohar, Executive Vice President, Sales-Service-Used Car Business & Profit Enhancement, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, said,"The Urban Cruiser Hyryder continues to appeal to modern SUV buyers with its stylish design, advanced technology, and enhanced comfort. With the launch of the Aero Black Edition, we are excited to introduce a more expressive and youthful design identity that resonates with evolving customer aspirations. The bold, black-themed styling further amplifies the UC Hyryder's premium appeal, offering a more confident road presence.

The Toyota Hyryder Aero Black Edition is a purely cosmetic package, and the Japanese marque has made no mechanical changes to the hybrid SUV. The Hyryder's 1.5-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine continues to produce 103hp and 137Nm, paired with a 5-speed manual or 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox, with both 2WD and 4WD layouts on offer.

A CNG version of the same engine drops output to 88hp and 121.5Nm and comes solely with the 5-speed manual. The strong-hybrid variant of the Hyryder pairs a different 1.5-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine with an electric motor for a combined 115hp, drawing power from a 0.60kWh lithium-ion battery pack and sending drive to the front wheels through an eCVT.

The Hyryder has crossed two lakh cumulative sales since its 2022 launch, and the Aero Black Edition gives Toyota another way to keep the SUV visually fresh without touching its mechanical package.
