Toyota Ebella BaaS Pricing Revealed: ₹15.25 Lakh + ₹4.99/Km

Japanese carmaker Toyota launched the Urban Cruiser Ebella as its first all-electric SUV for India, with only the price of the top-spec E3 variant, priced at ₹23.60 lakh (ex-showroom), revealed at launch.

The Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella is a badge-engineered version of the Maruti Suzuki eVitara and is assembled at Maruti's Gujarat manufacturing facility. Pricing for the lower E1 and E2 trims is yet to be announced.

Toyota has also introduced a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) pricing model for the Ebella, pegged at ₹15.25 lakh plus ₹4.99 per km. The BaaS pricing details for the Ebella were revealed through marketing materials on dealer websites, though it does not explicitly specify the applicable variant.

The E3, being the only trim currently on sale, is the most probable candidate for this pricing structure. BaaS options are also expected to be extended to the E1 and E2 trims once their standard prices are announced.

Toyota Ebella vs Maruti Suzuki eVitara - BaaS Pricing Compared

For comparison, the Maruti Suzuki eVitara Alpha carries a standard ex-showroom price of ₹20.01 lakh and a BaaS price of ₹14.51 lakh plus ₹4.39 per km. On standard pricing, the Ebella E3 is ₹3.59 lakh more expensive than the eVitara Alpha. The BaaS upfront cost on the Ebella is ₹74,000 higher.

The per-kilometre battery rental on the Ebella stands ₹0.6 per km higher than the eVitara Alpha's ₹4.39 per km charge. Both models share the same platform and offer equivalent equipment at the top trim level. Toyota has positioned the Ebella above its Maruti counterpart with a more premium design inside and out.

The eVitara Delta base trim starts at ₹15.99 lakh and the mid-spec Zeta at ₹17.49 lakh for reference. Given the ₹3.59 lakh premium pattern seen with the E3, the Ebella's lower variants are expected to carry a comparable gap over their eVitara equivalents across all grades.

Toyota Ebella - Buyback & Battery Warranty

Toyota is offering an assured buyback scheme with the Ebella, guaranteeing 60 percent of the purchase price after three years, subject to terms and conditions. The battery also carries an 8-year warranty as part of the ownership package. Both the buyback offer and the battery warranty are applicable to the first owner only.

Toyota Ebella - Battery, Motor & Features

The Toyota Ebella E3 is powered by a 61 kWh battery pack with a claimed range of 543 km on a full charge. The battery is paired with a single front-axle mounted motor that produces 172 bhp and 193 Nm of torque. DC fast charging takes the battery pack from 10 to 80 per cent state of charge in 45 minutes.

Standard equipment on the Ebella E3 variant includes ventilated front seats, a floating centre console, and a sliding, reclining rear bench with 40:20:40 split folding. A 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 10.2-inch TFT instrument cluster anchor the cabin. Level-2 ADAS, a JBL sound system, and automatic climate control are included as standard.

All-wheel disc brakes, 18-inch alloy wheels, and a full-size alloy spare wheel round out the mechanical package. The Ebella E3 is currently offered in a single fully loaded configuration, with no base or mid-spec variant prices disclosed at this stage.
