The Model Y and Model Y Long Range share identical dimensions at 4,790mm in length, 1,982mm in width and 1,624mm in height, on a 2,890mm wheelbase. The Model Y L stretches to 4,969mm in length and 1,668mm in height on a 3,040mm wheelbase.

The Tesla Model Y L is 179mm longer, 44mm taller and features a 150mm longer wheelbase than the standard variants. This allows the Model Y L to stick an extra row of seats that gives it its distinctive 2+2+2 interior layout.

Ground clearance increases marginally from 167mm to 169mm on the Model Y L, and while all three sit on 19-inch wheels, though the Model Y L uses a distinct design.

The standard Model Y uses a 63kWh battery with a rear-wheel-drive motor producing an estimated 299hp, with a WLTP range of 500km and a 0-100kph time of 5.9 seconds. The Model Y Long Range steps up to an 84.2kWh battery and an estimated 340hp, delivering 661km of range and a 5.6-second 0-100kph sprint, with support for 250kW DC fast charging versus 175kW on the standard variant.

The Model Y L sports the largest battery pack at 88.2kWh, paired with a dual-motor AWD setup producing 514hp. WLTP range stands at 681km and the 0-100km/h time drops to 5.0 seconds. All three variants share a 201km/h top speed.

The Tesla Model Y L also gains adaptive suspension with electronic damping, which is not available on the standard-wheelbase variants. A 15-minute Supercharger session adds 288km on the Model Y L, compared to 267km on the Long Range and 238km on the standard Model Y.

The Model Y L carries visual changes over the standard variants to reflect its longer body. Extended rear doors, a revised roofline, a larger rear quarter glass and a more prominent boot spoiler set it apart in profile. A 'Model Y L' badge with two diagonal strokes on the tailgate identifies the variant to those viewing it from the back.

All three versions of the Tesla Model Y in India are equipped with a 16-inch central touchscreen, upgraded from the earlier 15.4-inch unit, plus an 8-inch rear passenger display. Common equipment across the range includes powered, heated and ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, a panoramic glass roof, powered front and rear AC vents, a heated steering wheel and windshield, dashcam and eight cameras.

The standard and Long Range variants both use a 9-speaker audio setup while the Model Y L sports an 18-speaker system with a subwoofer.
