Tesla Bengaluru Experience Center Opens In Whitefield - Model Y & Model Y L On Display

Tesla has opened its Bengaluru experience centre in Whitefield, marking its third location in India after Mumbai and Delhi. The Bengaluru experience centre is Tesla's first in South India and is located at VR Bengaluru on Whitefield Main Road, in the heart of the city's IT corridor.

The new Tesla experience centre in Bengaluru showcases both the Model Y and the newly launched Model Y L, the American marque's three-row, six-seat electric SUV. After-sales service coverage in Bengaluru is also operational from today.

The Model Y L is a three-row, six-seat SUV priced at Rs 61.99 lakh (ex-showroom). It delivers a WLTP range of 681 km, hits 100 km/h in 5.0 seconds, and offers up to 2,539 litres of cargo space.

The standard Model Y runs a 64 kWh battery paired with a 299 hp rear motor. The Long Range variant of the Model Y was recently updated got an updated 83kWh battery pack, while its motor pushes out 340 hp. Both variants top out at 201 km/h.

The standard Model Y offers a WLTP range of 500 km and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. The Long Range variant pushes that to 662 km with a 5.6-second 0-100km/h sprint time.

Both the Model Y Long Range and Model Y L share an 83 kWh battery and a peak charging speed of 250 kW. At a Supercharger, the Model Y L recovers 288 km of range in 15 minutes versus 267 km for the Long Range, despite being the heavier, all-wheel-drive car. Home charging support is available in India alongside Supercharger access for long-distance travel.

Both the Tesla Model Y and Model Y L have been certified by safety testing bodies worldwide. These include the NHTSA and IIHS in the US, Euro NCAP in Europe, ANCAP for Australia and New Zealand, and CIASI in China. Both the Model Y L and the standard Model Y hold five-star ratings across these programs.
