Tata Launches Fleet-Only XPres Petrol And CNG Variants - Prices Start At ₹5.59 Lakh
Tata Motors has added petrol and CNG variants to the XPres lineup for fleet-only sale. The new variants are available exclusively through Tata's fleet and commercial sales channels and are priced at ₹5.69 lakh (Petrol) and ₹6.59 lakh (CNG). Bookings for the Tata XPres petrol and CNG variants are open through Tata Motors' fleet network.
The XPres petrol and CNG are based on the Tigor platform and join the existing XPres EV, which continues to be offered for fleet operations. With this update, the XPres nameplate is available with electric, petrol and CNG powertrains for commercial use.
The petrol Tata XPres is powered by a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 86hp and 113Nm. The petrol variant is offered with a 5-speed manual transmission. The CNG Tata XPres uses the same 1.2-litre engine, which in CNG specification, delivers 73hp and 95Nm of peak torque. The CNG variant, too is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The CNG system comes fitted directly from the factory.
Equipment levels on the petrol and CNG variants follow a fleet-oriented specification. Standard features include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, manual air conditioning, and front power windows. Interior trim and materials are aligned with high-usage commercial operations.
The XPres EV continues unchanged. It uses an electric motor paired with a lithium-ion battery, offering automatic transmission and zero tailpipe emissions. Feature and safety equipment on the EV variant remain as previously offered for fleet customers.
The introduction of the petrol and CNG XPres fleet variants follows Tata Motors' strategy of expanding alternative fuel options across its product range. The move also reflects broader fleet electrification and low-emission trends in Indian commercial transport, even as internal combustion and CNG continue to serve cost-sensitive segments.
