New Gen Tata Tiago Launch Expectations: Could Get Segment-First 360 Degree Camera

Tata Motors is all set to launch the updated Tata Tiago facelift in India tomorrow alongside the refreshed Tata Tiago EV. The Tiago has remained one of the most popular entry-level hatchbacks in the country for several years thanks to its affordability, practicality, and strong safety reputation.

New Gen Tata Tiago (ICE) Launch Expectations

The updated Tata Tiago facelift will officially launch on May 28, 2026, with Tata Motors expected to announce the full pricing and variant lineup during the launch event. The hatchback is expected to receive major design changes, interior upgrades, and additional technology features.

Latest Exterior Design

New Gen Tata Tiago

Tata Motors has already revealed the exterior styling of the facelifted Tiago through teasers and previews. The updated hatchback now looks more modern, stylish, and youthful compared to the outgoing model.

The front fascia receives a completely revised black grille inspired by the Tata Altroz along with redesigned pixel-style fog lamp housings and a new sporty lower bumper section with black-finished air dams.

Other styling updates include newly designed 15-inch alloy wheels, refreshed wheel covers, connected LED tail lamps, a revised rear bumper, and several new colour options aimed at attracting younger buyers.

Upmarket Cabin Experience

The cabin of the new Tata Tiago has also been redesigned with a more premium and technology-focused layout. The dashboard now features a floating touchscreen infotainment system along with a new digital driver display that gives the interior a more modern appearance.

The hatchback also gets Tata's latest steering wheel with integrated controls, gloss black interior inserts, and updated black-and-grey upholstery aimed at improving overall cabin appeal.

Engine And Transmission

Mechanically, the facelifted Tiago is expected to continue with the same 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 86 bhp. Transmission options are likely to include both a 5-speed manual gearbox and an AMT automatic transmission.

The CNG variant is also expected to continue with the same dual-cylinder technology setup, which helps improve luggage space practicality. The CNG version currently produces around 75.6 bhp.

Expected Feature Upgrades

One of the biggest expected highlights of the facelift could be the addition of a 360-degree camera system and twin wireless chargers, which would be a segment-first feature for a small hatchback in India.

Spy shots and teaser images suggest that Tata Motors could introduce several premium convenience and safety features usually seen in higher segments. However, complete details will only be revealed during the official launch event.

Expected Pricing and Rivals

The facelifted Tata Tiago is expected to see a slight price increase due to the updated styling, additional features, and technology upgrades. The current model starts at around Rs 4.60 lakh (ex-showroom).

The new facelift is expected to be priced from approximately Rs 5 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, the updated Tiago will continue to rival hatchbacks like the Maruti Suzuki Swift, Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, and Renault Kwid in the Indian market.
