Tata Tiago Facelift And Tiago EV Revealed: New Design & Updated Interiors

Tata Motors has revealed the facelift models of the new Tata Tiago and Tata Tiago EV. These are among the most successful car models in Tata's lineup. Here are the complete details and expected features.

Tata Tiago Facelift Launching This Month

India's Tata Motors will launch the facelifted Tiago on May 28, 2026. It will be introduced in two versions: ICE and EV. It is one of the smallest hatchbacks in the country and competes with models such as the Maruti Suzuki Swift and Hyundai Grand i10 Nios.

Exterior Updates

Tata Tiago

The Tiago facelift receives several exterior updates with a fresh stance and revised design. The front fascia appears to be largely inspired by the Tata Altroz, featuring sleek LED headlamps, connected tail lamps with vertical LED elements, eyebrow-shaped LED DRLs, a redesigned bumper, a blacked-out grille for the ICE version and a body-coloured grille for the EV.

Some of its styling upgrades include new dual-tone alloy wheels, black ORVMs, a shark-fin antenna, a black roof and muscular wheel arches, all of which give the Tata Tiago a bolder stance compared to the outgoing model. These updates make the hatchback more appealing and add greater character to its design.

The EV particularly looks more futuristic with a cleaner design, smoother body lines and a more minimalistic treatment. Tata Motors has not revealed the interior yet; however, several upgrades are expected there as well.

New Updates

It could get a revised instrument cluster, updated user interface, refreshed interior theme and new upholstery treatment. The Tiago already features a 10.25-inch infotainment system borrowed from the Tata Punch facelift, and it is likely to remain unchanged.

Other key features expected on the Tiago include a segment-first 360-degree camera, automatic climate control, cruise control, automatic headlamps, rear AC vents, TPMS, parking sensors, wireless smartphone connectivity and automatic wipers.

Powertrain

The ICE version of the Tiago will continue with the same 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT gearbox. It will also continue to offer an iCNG kit with both manual and automatic transmission options.

For the EV version, Tata is expected to retain the existing 19.2 kWh and 24 kWh battery packs, offering claimed ranges of 223 km and 293 km, respectively. The Tata Tiago EV remains one of the most affordable electric cars in India.

Price expectation

The Tata Tiago facelift could be priced from around ₹5 lakh (ex-showroom). The EV version is expected to start at approximately ₹8 lakh (ex-showroom). Key rivals include the MG Comet EV and Citroën eC3.
