Tata Sierra EV Teased Ahead Of June 30 Launch - What To Expect

Tata Motors will launch the Sierra EV on June 30, marking its seventh electric car in India and placing the SUV below the Harrier EV in the lineup. Only the Safari and Altroz now remain without electric counterparts, with the Safari EV expected to arrive soon as the brand's flagship seven-seater electric SUV.

Ahead of the launch, Sierra EV has been teased for the first time through an official image showing the front fascia. The teaser follows snippets of the EV that were briefly shown in the Sierra ICE's TVC, and the new design carries EV-specific touches while retaining the model's core appeal.

Tata Sierra EV Teased: Design Details

The official teaser image is set in a dark scene, making it difficult to draw clear design comparisons with the Sierra ICE. Sierra EV gets more body-coloured elements on the fascia, replacing the large black applique seen on the ICE version for a cleaner look.

The clamshell bonnet, connected LED DRLs, slim LED headlights and vertically arranged LED fog lights with cornering lamps appear to carry over from the Sierra ICE. The bull-bar-like silver element on the front bumper also looks shared between both versions.

Digital renders based on the teaser suggest unique touches for the EV, including white surrounds around the Tata logo and blue highlights around the Tata.ev badges. There is also a possibility Sierra EV could get grey plastic elements similar to the Punch EV and Tiago EV.

Tata Sierra EV Teased: Expected Interior And Features

Tata Motors typically shares most interior elements between its EV and ICE counterparts, with the Nexon EV's 12.3-inch instrument cluster being a rare exception over the ICE's 10.25-inch unit. Sierra EV is expected to get an interior layout identical to the Sierra ICE.

This includes a triple-screen dashboard layout, a soundbar, premium JBL speakers with Dolby Atmos, and extensive soft-touch elements. Features are expected to include dual-zone climate control, an electric parking brake, a powered tailgate, the segment's largest panoramic sunroof, auto headlights, rain-sensing wipers, advanced ADAS, an AR-enabled HUD option and a large boot.

Tata Sierra EV Teased: Expected Powertrain

Sierra EV is expected to borrow its powertrain from the Harrier EV rather than the Curvv EV. This points to a battery pack of up to 75 kWh, with a dual-motor QWD setup offering up to 500 Nm of torque also likely to be offered on the SUV.

Tata Sierra EV will rival the Mahindra BE 6 once launched on June 30, adding a fresh design language to the brand's growing electric SUV lineup that already includes the Nexon EV, Punch EV, Tiago EV, Curvv EV and Harrier EV.
