Tata Sierra EV Teased With QWD Ahead Of India Launch On June 30

Tata Motors is all set to launch the much-awaited Tata Sierra EV in India on June 30, 2026. This upcoming electric SUV is expected to feature a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup, similar to the recently introduced Tata Harrier EV.

Tata Sierra EV Launching This Month

Tata Motors is currently one of India's leading electric vehicle brands, offering a wide portfolio of EVs across different segments. Among its upcoming launches, the Sierra EV remains one of the most anticipated, mainly because Tata is reviving one of its most iconic nameplates in an all-electric avatar.

Based On Harrier EV Platform

The new Sierra EV is built on Tata's acti.ev+ architecture, which is also shared with the Harrier EV. This means the Sierra is expected to borrow several key components, battery technologies, and features from its larger sibling. Even the performance is also expected to be very similar to the Harrier EV.

The SUV is likely to be offered with both single-motor and dual-motor configurations. Recent teasers have already revealed the QWD (Quad Wheel Drive) variant, showcasing features like diamond-cut alloy wheels, a dual-tone bumper, and Sierra EV badging.

Battery, Features And Performance

Like the Harrier EV, the Sierra could offer 65 kWh and 75 kWh battery pack options, paired with both RWD and AWD drivetrains. On the feature front, Tata is expected to equip the Sierra EV with a premium triple-screen setup, a signature glass roof at the rear, Boss Mode, panoramic sunroof, multiple ambient lighting themes, powered and ventilated seats, and advanced connected car technology.

Tata may also introduce exclusive colour options for the EV version to differentiate it from the ICE model. The Sierra EV is expected to rival the Hyundai Creta Electric, Maruti Suzuki eVitara, Mahindra BE 6, MG ZS EV and upcoming Toyota EV offerings. Pricing is expected to range between Rs 19 lakh and Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom).
