Tata Sierra Dark Edition Launched at Rs 13.99 Lakh

Tata has launched the Sierra Dark Edition, a blacked-out cosmetic package for its SUV, priced from Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The package is available from the Pure L trim upwards and adds Rs 20,000 to Rs 30,000 over the corresponding regular-spec variant.

Pricing for the Sierra Dark Edition tops out at Rs 21.59 lakh for the range-topping Accomplished+ trim. The package is offered across every powertrain and gearbox combination already sold on the standard Sierra.

Tata Sierra Dark Edition: Exterior & Interior

The Sierra Dark Edition comes finished in a new Friesian Black paint shade as standard. Chrome exterior trim gives way to black elements, and the Tata badges and alloy wheels are also finished in black. Front fenders carry '#DARK' badging to mark out the special edition. There are no other cosmetic changes to the SUV's exterior.

Inside, the blacked-out theme continues with violet metallic trim on the AC vent bezels, door handles, front armrest and seatbacks. Even the seat stitching switches to purple thread on the special edition.

Tata has not altered the interior layout or features list on the Dark Edition. Depending on variant, buyers still get a triple-screen setup, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof and dual-zone climate control.

Additional equipment includes a powered tailgate, connected car tech, Level 2 ADAS and a 360-degree camera. Higher trims also retain the 12-speaker JBL Black sound system.

Tata Sierra Dark Edition: Engine & Gearbox

The Sierra Dark Edition carries over every engine and transmission option from the trim it's based on. Buyers can pick a 106hp 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCT gearbox.

A 118hp 1.5-litre diesel engine is offered with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed torque converter automatic. The range-topping option is a 160hp 1.5-litre turbo-petrol motor, paired solely with a 6-speed torque converter gearbox.
