Tata Punch Facelift Launched At ₹5.59 Lakh - New Turbocharged Petrol Engine, 5-Star Safety Rating
Tata Motors has launched the 2026 Tata Punch facelift as it looks to once again take over the sub-compact SUV segment in India. The new Tata Punch facelift features a starting price of ₹5.59 lakh(ex-showroom, Delhi). The new Punch iTurbo starts at ₹8.29 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Tata Punch Facelift is offered with both naturally aspirated and turbocharged petrol engines, and for the first time, offers the CNG version with an AMT gearbox. The Tata Punch facelift has also been given a 5-star safety rating by Bharat NCAP.

The facelifted Punch sports a reworked front fascia that includes bold C-Shaped LED daytime running lights and stacked LED headlamps. The bumper receives new black cladding and dual air intake slits, giving the updated Punch a more rugged appearance than its predecessor.
At the rear, the Punch facelift features connected LED tail-lights set within contrasting trim, and top-trim variants feature new alloy wheel designs. The new turbocharged version of the Punch features i-Turbo badging in red.

Inside, the Punch gains visual and functional upgrades inspired by recent Tata models like the Safari, including revised seating, updated dashboard elements and a more modern infotainment environment.
Other highlights of the new Tata Punch facelift include twin displays for the infotainment (with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay), instrumentation, a wireless phone charger, a 65w USB C charging port, a voice-assisted sunroof and ambient lighting.
In terms of safety, the new facelifted Punch, which was awarded a 5-star safety rating by Barat NCA,P comes packed with a host of safety features including 6 airbags (as standard), ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, a rear parking camera and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).

The facelifted Tata Punch is offered with two engine options, a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated three cylinder engine that has been carried over and a new 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine that takes the performance quotient of the revised Punch to a whole new level.
The existing 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine pushes out 87.8PS and 115Nm of peak torque in petrol guise. In CNG form, the Punch's naturally aspirated engine pushes out 73.4PS and 103Nm ofpeak torque. While the NA petrol version of the Punch was always offered with 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox offerings, the latter transmission is now, for the first tim,e offered with the CNG variant as well.
New to the facelifted Tata Punch is the addition of the new 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine. This engine, dubbed the iTurbo, has been seen on the Nexon and the Altroz Racer and it kicks out 120PS and 170Nm of peak torque, making the Punch iTurbo the most powerful SUV in its segment.
The turbocharged engine is offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The Punch iTurbo can sprint from 0-100km/h in just 11.1 seconds.
The facelifted Punch continues to compete in the highly contested sub-compact SUV segment, with rivals such as the Hyundai Exter, Maruti Suzuki Ignis, Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite.
