Tata Punch Facelift Exterior & Interior Revealed Ahead of January 13 Launch
Tata Motors has revealed the 2026 Tata Punch facelift ahead of its official launch on January 13, 2026, marking the most extensive update to the sub-4-metre SUV since its introduction in 2021. The refreshed Tata Punch features a revised design, updated interior and a new powertrain option.
Tata Punch Facelift - Exterior & Interior Design

The updated Tata Punch adopts a design aesthetic influenced by its EV counterpart, with a reworked front fascia that includes bold vertical LED daytime running lights and stacked LED headlamps. The bumper receives new black cladding and dual air intake slits, giving the facelift a more rugged appearance while retaining the SUV's familiar silhouette.
At the rear, the Tata Punch facelift features connected LED tail-lights set within contrasting trim, and top-trim variants are expected to be equipped with new alloy wheel designs. The overall detailing creates a more contemporary look compared with the outgoing model.

Inside, the Tata Punch facelift gains visual and functional upgrades inspired by recent Tata models, including revised seating, updated dashboard elements and a more modern infotainment environment. Tata has carried over the practical layout while integrating technology enhancements expected to appeal to buyers.
Tata Punch Facelift - Powertrain Options

Significantly, the Tata Punch facelift will introduce a turbo-petrol engine option for the first time in the Punch's history. The new powertrain has been teased alongside the standard 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol unit, and will be paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
The existing 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine is set to remain part of the facelifted Punch's powertrain roster, with expected transmission options including a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT alongside the new turbo variant.
The facelifted Tata Punch continues to compete in the highly contested sub 4-metre compact SUV segment, with rivals such as the Hyundai Exter, Maruti Suzuki Ignis, Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite. The updated styling, additional engine choice and cabin enhancements are aimed at strengthening the Tata Punch's appeal among buyers in the micro-SUV market.
Tata Motors has confirmed that the facelifted Punch will be unveiled on January 13, 2026, and prices for the updated SUV are expected to be announced at the launch event, with deliveries to follow soon after.
