Tata Motors has launched the new Tata Punch Facelift in India at a starting price of ₹5.59 lakh (ex-showroom). One of the best-selling micro-SUVs in the country, the Punch has now been updated with several class-leading features, including a more powerful engine option. Let's take a look at those top features below.

Standard 6 airbags

The new Tata Punch Facelift now has six airbags as a standard safety feature. Previously, the SUV offered only two airbags on the base variant, but with the facelift model, the safety standards have been raised to six airbags across all variants.

The car already carries a 5-star safety rating in Bharat NCAP. During its launch, the company showcased its safety capabilities by conducting a real-world front-collision test with a truck. All six airbags deployed immediately, and the cabin remained intact, clearly demonstrating the vehicle's structural strength.

New LED Setup

Tata Motors has redesigned the car's exterior with a new LED headlamp cluster mounted on the bumper. It also gets sleek LED DRLs, making it look more premium. Additionally, the tail-lamp unit is now connected, giving the car a more modern and upmarket appearance.

Powerful Turbo Petrol Engine

The biggest highlight is the addition of a new 1.2L turbo-petrol engine paired with a 6-speed gearbox. This powertrain has been borrowed from the Altroz Racer and the Nexon SUV.

It produces segment-leading 120 PS and 170 Nm of torque, making the Punch Facelift an attractive option for enthusiasts who crave power and performance at a more affordable price. The CNG variant was also updated with an AMT transmission, which is a first in this segment.

New Cluster and Speakers

The Punch now gets a new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a premium 8-speaker sound system. This enhances the audio experience, while the instrument cluster UI is also very user-friendly and responsive.

360-Degree Camera

The micro-SUV now features a segment-first 360-degree camera system along with a blind-spot monitor, offering maximum visibility during tight parking spaces and narrow lanes. This system also helps protect the car's paint and body panels from scratches and minor damage during manoeuvres.
