Tata Sales Report (December 2025): Breaks Annual Sales Record For Fifth Consecutive Year

Tata's passenger vehicle sales in December 2025 stood at 50,519 units, compared with 44,289 units in December 2024, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 6,230 units, or 14.1 per cent, across domestic passenger vehicles and international business volumes combined.

Within this total, domestic passenger vehicle sales accounted for 50,046 units in December 2025, up from 44,230 units in December 2024, registering a growth of 5,816 units, or 13.1 per cent, on a year-on-year basis.

Tata's sales in the international business passenger vehicle (exports) segment rose to 473 units in December 2025, compared with 59 units in December 2024, translating into an increase of 414 units, or 701.7 per cent, during the month under review.

For Q3 FY26, Tata's sales across domestic and international passenger vehicle markets reached 1,71,013 units, compared to the 1,39,829 units sold in Q3 FY25, reflecting an increase of 31,184 units, or 22.3 per cent, on a year-on-year basis.

Domestic passenger vehicle volumes during Q3 FY26 stood at 1,68,616 units, up from 1,39,424 units in Q3 FY25, registering a growth of 29,192 units, equivalent to 20.9 per cent, according to the reported quarterly figures.

International business (exports) passenger vehicle sales for Tata increased to 2,397 units in Q3 FY26, compared with 405 units in Q3 FY25, marking a rise of 1,992 units, or 491.9 per cent, across overseas markets during the quarter.

Electric vehicle sales, including domestic and international markets, reached 6,906 units in December 2025, compared with 5,562 units in December 2024, reflecting an increase of 1,344 units, or 24.2 per cent, year on year.

For Q3 FY26, Tata EV sales totalled 24,103 units, up from 16,119 units in Q3 FY25, representing a growth of 7,984 units, or 49.5 per cent, across combined domestic and international markets. During Q3 FY26, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. recorded its highest-ever quarterly wholesales of 1,71,103 units, while retail registrations crossed 2,00,000 units for the first time, as reported in the official sales statement.

Tata's PV sales for the calendar year 2025 reached 5,87,218 units, marking the fifth consecutive year of record-breaking annual volumes, with electric vehicles contributing 81,125 units to Tata's calendar year total.

Shailesh Chandra, MD and CEO, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. said, "CY25 saw steady progress for the PV industry powered by a growing preference for SUVs and accelerating adoption of cleaner, emission-friendly powertrains. For Tata Motors, it was the fifth consecutive year of record-breaking annual sales, with 587,218 units sold, including the highest-ever EV volumes of 81,125 units in a calendar year.

For Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles, the momentum sparked by the rollout of GST 2.0 in late Q2 FY26 gained further traction in Q3, resulting in several new records. We achieved our highest-ever quarterly wholesales of 171,103 units, while retail sales/registrations crossed the coveted 200,000 units milestone for the first time."
