Tata Motors October 2026 Sales Scale New All Time High - 75,426 Units Sold

Tata Motors' October 2026 sales reached 75,426 units, the company's highest-ever monthly figure and the first time it has crossed 75,000 cars and SUVs in a month. Tata's PV sales saw a 23.05% YoY rise over the 61,295 units sold in October 2025, an addition of 14,131 units. Tata also logged its highest-ever monthly bookings, with demand for EV and CNG models exceeding available supply.

Tata Motors October 2026 Sales Breakdown

Domestic passenger vehicle sales stood at 73,894 units, up 20.87% from 61,134 units a year earlier, a gain of 12,760 units. Against September's 68,810 units, that is an increase of 5,084 units, or 7.39%.

Including exports, Tata Motors October 2026 sales grew 7.43% over September's 70,210 units, a gain of 5,216 units. Exports alone rose 9.43% from 1,400 units in September. Exports reached 1,532 units against 161 units in October 2025, a rise of 1,371 units, or 851.55% YoY, off a low base. Overseas shipments made up about 2.03% of Tata's total October volumes.

Tata Motors - EV & CNG Demand

Tata's EV sales reached 16,244 units, up 74.93% from 9,286 units in October 2025, an increase of 6,958 units. Month-on-month, volumes rose 5.59% from 15,384 units in September. Electric vehicles accounted for about 21.54% of Tata's total passenger vehicle sales, up from around 15.15% in October 2025. Tata says EV demand continues to exceed supply. The Punch.ev crossed the 5,000-unit monthly sales mark in October, which Tata describes as a first for a standalone EV product.

Demand for CNG models is similarly outpacing availability. Tata has highlighted its multi-powertrain portfolio alongside the record bookings and is scaling up EV and CNG supply to meet demand.
