Tata Motors Plans Six Launches For FY2027 - 2 New Cars, 4 Facelifts

Tata Motors has confirmed a six-product rollout for FY2027, comprising two all-new models and four facelifts. The offensive spans both ends of its portfolio, from entry-level hatchbacks to an all-new premium EV sub-brand making its production debut.

Leading the charge is the Sierra EV, confirmed for a Q2 FY2027 launch - between July and September 2026. The electric Sierra arrives roughly eight to nine months after its ICE sibling and will slot between the Curvv EV and Harrier EV in Tata's electric range. Battery options are expected to include 55kWh and 65kWh packs, with single-motor rear-wheel drive and dual-motor all-wheel drive configurations.

Safari EV to Flag Off the Festive Season

The Safari EV follows as Tata's second new launch for the year, targeting the festive season of 2026. It will be the brand's first three-row electric offering and is set to lead its EV lineup as the range-topping model, rivalling the Mahindra XEV 9S. Battery options are expected to carry forward from the Harrier EV - 65kWh and 75kWh units with both RWD and AWD layouts.

Entry-Level Range Gets Long-Overdue Updates

The four planned facelifts are expected to cover the Tiago and Tigor nameplates across ICE and EV variants. Both models have gone without meaningful updates for some time, and test mules of a revised Tiago EV were spotted on Indian roads earlier this year. The updated EVs are likely to benefit from the new 6-in-1 drivetrain that made its debut on the 2026 Punch EV facelift.

Avinya Brand Set for FY2027 Debut

The latter half of FY2027 is expected to bring Tata's premium Avinya brand into production reality. The first Avinya EV is anticipated to debut at the 2027 Bharat Mobility Global Expo and will be a large SUV built on Tata's born-electric architecture, using a skateboard platform layout.
