Tata Altroz iCNG AMT Launched At Rs 8.70 Lakh - Five Variants

Tata Motors has launched the Altroz iCNG with a 5-speed AMT option, priced from Rs 8.70 lakh to Rs 10.77 lakh (ex-showroom). The Tata Altroz iCNG AMT range spans five variants Pure, Pure S, Creative, Creative S, and Accomplished S - making the Altroz the only premium hatchback in India to offer a CNG AMT powertrain.

The two-pedal AMT option extends across the full Tata Altroz CNG IPLlineup, including the Accomplished S at Rs 10.77 lakh. Rivals like the Toyota Glanza and Maruti Baleno limit CNG availability to lower, more basic trims.

Tata Altroz CNG AMT - Engine & Gearbox

The Altroz iCNG runs a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder engine with a factory-fitted twin-cylinder CNG kit, the same unit found in petrol variants. In CNG mode, output stands at 73.5hp and 103Nm; petrol mode lifts figures to 88hp and 115Nm. The 5-speed AMT paired to it is the same unit offered on petrol Altroz variants.

The top-spec Accomplished S gets LED headlamps and tail-lamps, a sunroof, a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen, and a 7-inch driver's display. Wireless charging, ambient lighting, and 16-inch alloy wheels are also part of the package.

Boot space on the CNG model drops to 210 litres, against 345 litres on petrol and diesel variants. The twin-cylinder kit mounted in the luggage bay accounts for the reduction.
