Skoda To Hike Prices From 1 October By Up To Rs 20,000

Skoda India will roll out a price hike across its entire line-up from the 1st of October, with increases of up to 1.2 per cent at the ex-showroom level. Skoda's October price hike is capped at a maximum of Rs 20,000 per model.

Rising input and operational costs are behind the revision, which applies to every model Skoda sells in India. Prices for the facelifted Slavia, not yet launched, will be announced separately on 6 October. The Czech brand crossed 50,000 units in 2026 through August, its strongest first half yet with growth of over eight per cent year-on-year.

The hike lands near the end of what Skoda calls ten product actions planned for 2026. These include the new Kushaq, the new Slavia, updates to the Kodiaq, and the introduction of the Kodiaq RS and Octavia RS. Skoda also added trims and features to the Kylaq, launched the Kylaq Sportline, and rolled out Classic+ and Prestige+ trims across its range.

The Skoda Slavia facelift, unveiled recently, brings mildly revised styling and an expanded features list. It also gets a new eight-speed automatic gearbox for the 1.0-litre TSI engine, replacing the previous torque-converter unit.

Skoda has separately introduced a second batch of 50 units of the Octavia RS, priced at Rs 56.69 lakh, ex-showroom. That is a jump of Rs 6.70 lakh over the first batch's launch price.
