Skoda Slavia Facelift Teased Ahead Of Launch: New Exterior Details Revealed

Czech carmaker Skoda has released a new teaser of the Slavia facelift ahead of its India launch on August 18, giving a closer look at the sedan's exterior changes. The reveal of the facelifted sedan comes four years after the current Skoda Slavia went on sale in 2022.

The teaser video for the upcoming Skoda Slavia facelift confirms a revised front and rear along with a fresh wheel design, while the cabin remains under wraps for now. Skoda India will detail the complete specifications, variants and pricing at the launch event.

At the front, the 2026 Skoda Slavia facelift gets a reworked grille finished with heavier chrome detailing. The headlamps carry revised internals for a sharper look, and the bumper has been restyled with new housings around the fog lamps.

The tail lamps of the facelifted Slavia retain a similar shape to the outgoing car, though it remains unclear if they get the connected LED treatment seen on the Kushaq. A new five-spoke alloy wheel design can also be seen and is expected to stay at 16 inches, while the sedan continues with a chrome-finished window line.

The teaser does not show the cabin, but the layout is expected to carry over with updated colours and trim materials. The Slavia facelift is likely to gain a larger infotainment touchscreen along with the Kushaq's 10.25-inch digital driver's display, while features such as a single-pane sunroof, ventilated front seats and a wireless phone charger are set to continue.

Power for the 2026 Skoda Slavia facelift will continue to come from the existing 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engines. The 1.0-litre unit makes 115hp and 178Nm, and is paired with a 6-speed manual, with automatic versions gaining a new 8-speed torque converter gearbox in place of the current 6-speed unit. The 1.5-litre engine, which produces 150hp and 250Nm, will continue solely with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

The current Skoda Slavia is priced between Rs 9.99 lakh and Rs 18.19 lakh, and the facelifted sedan is expected to command a slight premium over these figures. It will continue to rival the Hyundai Verna, the Honda City and the Volkswagen Virtus in the mid-size sedan segment.
