Skoda Slavia Facelift To Launch On August 18

Czech carmaker Skoda is all set to launch the Slavia facelift on August 18. The facelifted Skoda Slavia is set to bring a few cosmetic revisions, added features and a new automatic gearbox option for the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine which was first seen on the Kushaq.

The updated Skoda Slavia facelift has been spied testing multiple times over the past few months and these test mules have given us a good idea of what to expect from the updated sedan.

Skoda Slavia Facelift: What Is Expected To Change & What Will Stay The Same

Test mules of Skoda Slavia facelift have shown updated LED lighting elements in the headlamps, a revised tail-lamp design and a new grille with integrated lighting, similar to the units seen on the latest Kushaq and Kodiaq. Redesigned front and rear bumpers, along with a new set of alloy wheels, are also expected.

The dashboard layout is likely to carry over largely unchanged, though Skoda could introduce a larger 10.25-inch digital driver's display in place of the current unit, along with revised seat upholstery and front parking sensors. A rear-seat massage function, added to the Kushaq with its facelift in January 2026, could also make its way to the Slavia.

Existing equipment such as the single-pane sunroof, wireless phone charger, an 8-speaker sound system, automatic climate control with rear vents, six airbags and a tyre-pressure monitoring system is expected to be retained. Level 2 ADAS is tipped to be added as a new safety feature.

The Skoda Slavia facelift is expected to continue with the existing 115hp 1.0-litre TSI and 150hp 1.5-litre TSI turbo-petrol engines. The key mechanical change is likely to be the replacement of the current 6-speed torque-converter automatic on the 1.0 TSI with the newer 8-speed unit that debuted on the Kushaq facelift. The 1.5 TSI is expected to retain its 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.

Prices of the Skoda Slavia, which currently range from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 18.19 lakh (ex-showroom), are expected to rise slightly with the facelift. The updated sedan will continue to rival the Volkswagen Virtus, Hyundai Verna and Honda City.
